I just got word today that my friends and I will be having afternoon tea tomorrow at "The Orangery Cafe" at Kensington Palace. Yes, THE Kensington Palace where Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton live!
The Orangery offers "decadent afternoon teas in a unique English palace setting." Tea is offered from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. during the Spring. Briefly looking at the menu, there are two options: English Orangery Afternoon Tea and Royal Afternoon Tea. Both offer an assortment of sandwiches, scones and teas. However, the Royal Afternoon Tea selection can either be served with a glass of Pimms (my absolute favorite drink), Laurent Perrier Brut or Merlot Rose Spumante.
It's hard to decide which option I'll eventually chose tomorrow, but I'm leaning towards the Royal Afternoon Tea with Pimms. Pimms is so hard to come by in the states and it would be such a treat! Nothing is more refreshing on a lovely spring day.
